HAWKS RETURN TO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME ON SATURDAY

FORT MCMURRAY, ALBERTA: The Humber Hawks men's basketball team, 2015 CCAA National Champions, will return to the title game on Saturday night.

The Hawks will play the number four seed NAIT Ooks, who knocked off the number one seeded and defending CCAA National silver medalist VIU squad.

The game is set for a 10:00 pm EST tip, from the Keyano College Athletic Centre.

The # 2 Hawks advanced after defeating the # 3 Holland Hurricanes on Friday night by a score of 79-78. Holland has been relegated to the consolation side and will need to win two games on Saturday to earn the bronze medal.

The only common denominator between these two teams, provinces apart, is that NAIT defeated the OCAA's Mohawk Mountaineers in the opener, in what was one of the tightest games of the event. Humber beat Mohawk to win the OCAA crown two weeks ago.

Humber has had a number of great performances, with freshman Baljyot Judge and C.J. Bennett grabbing Player of the Game honours over the first two games. Tyrone Dickson has been a beast on the boards, while point guard Gibson Eduful has run the offence.
