HAWKS ON HOME COURT FOR PRE-SEASON BATTLE WITH HUSKIES

ETOBICOKE, ON: The Hawks continue their preseason by hosting the George Brown Huskies on Wednesday, with an 8 p.m. tip off. This is their first exhibition game against an OCAA opponent after getting lots of playing time against OUA and NCAA schools.
The reigning National Champions are coming off a strong weekend at Nipissing University where they won two of three games, with wins coming against the Bishop Gaiters and the Nipissing Lakers. The Huskies have also been busy this offseason, and just won the bronze medal at the St. Lawrence Invitational two weeks ago.
Tomorrow night will be a good indicator to the level of competition that the Hawks will be facing come their season opener on Oct. 24.
Last season the Huskies finished with an 11-9 record, good for sixth best in a tight East Division. The Hawks still have a strong core of six returning players from last season's 17-1 regular season finish.
