EDUFUL NAMED AN OCAA WEST DIVISION 1ST TEAM ALL STAR

WELLAND, ON: Gibson Eduful, a fourth year guard with the Humber Hawks men's basketball team, has been named as a 2016 OCAA West Division First Team All Star. The announcement was made at the 2016 Men's Basketball Championship Banquet hosted by Humber College on Thursday night.

Gibson, who led the Hawks to the 2015 CCAA National Championship, recorded the best statistical numbers of his career this past season. He led the Hawks in scoring with a career best mark of 14.8 points per game. His ball distribution numbers were off the charts, charting 100 assists on the season for a league second best mark of 5.6 assists per game.

His most impressive statistics came from the defensive side of the ball. He had 48 steals, which placed him second in the entire league. At a very generous listing of 5' 11", he led the Hawks in rebounding when taking into account players who played both semesters. It was not until the second half that he was usurped for the team league by Tyrone Dickson and his second half entry into the Hawks lineup.
