BRAMPTON: The Hawks were back in action with an exhibition match up against the Centennial Colts. Humber took the game with ease in the 74-57 tune up win. Baljyot Judge and C.J. Bennett were the high scorers of the game and combined for 27 points respectively.

Humber kept Centennial quiet in the first quarter by jumping out to a 13-6 lead.               Though the Hawks had the Colts outsized in the post, The Colts scored nine points from the perimeter to cut down Humber's lead. But Judge led the Hawks with nine points in the frame for Humber to pull away to a 20-14 lead at the buzzer.

Humber's high defence kept the Colts to taking longer shots, but the Colts ended up finding the basket to inch closer to the Hawks. The Colts slowly heated up and drained a long three to only trail by a basket. C.J. Bennett helped to break the scoring drought with a sweet offensive rebound to put the Hawks ahead 23-19. That sparked the next streak of drives to the hoop, where Ancil Martin made a reverse lay up to his right to take the wind out of Centennial's sails. Humber's defence tightened up as the Hawks offence strengthened. The Hawks made five straight stops on the Colts scoring attempts to pull ahead 31-19 at the 3:30 mark. Humber was untouchable as they went into the half with a 38-23 lead.

Centennial came out of the locker room and scored five points comfortably, until Humber woke up to erase the Colts' momentum with a 46-28 lead after a long corner two from Bennett. The Hawks continued to keep Centennial out of the paint and ran their clock to force tough shots. But, the Colts never bowed out despite trailing 49-33 and were able to keep Humber off the score board for a few minutes. The Hawks had Bennett to close out Centennial's streak with a hustle play that saw him draw a foul under the basket, make his first free throw and then draw another foul by getting his rebound on his second shot for a three point play. Humber led 52-35 at the end of the frame.

Humber put the Colts away by scoring a staggering 22 points in the fourth. Guard Ali Askarov contributed a pair of three's fir his seven points in the game on Humber's way to the 74-57 win.
