BRAMPTON: The Hawks blew out the George Brown Huskies 75-50 in exhibition play to give them a 2-0 record on the day at Sheridan College. C.J. Bennett led the Hawks for a second time with 14 points, followed by 13 apiece from Curwin Elvis and Ancil Martin.

Humber turned a speedy 6-2 George Brown lead around with an 11 point scoring run to pull ahead 13-6 with three minutes left in the quarter. Humber's defence found their true form and forced a couple Huskie turnovers that the Hawks were able to capitalize on in transition. Bennett stayed hot for the Hawks and scored six points for his squad to take a sizeable 20-10 lead.

The quarter was scoreless for three minutes until Martin nailed a three pointer from the top of the arc to break the ice. Humber's offence remained consistent behind Bennett's drives to the hoop where he piled on another four points for the Hawks to take a 34-18 lead with two minutes left in the half. Tyrone Dickson was a force to be reckoned with under the basket and recorded a pair of blocks and suffocated the Huskies' offence the prevented many points in the paint. The Hawks closed out the half leading 40-20.

Bennett kept the hot hand going with a floating drive for the first basket of the third frame. The Hawks took off and played solid team basketball that was highlighted by strong and crisp ball movement, namely Baljyot Judge and Martin who consistently threaded the needle for the post to penetrate the paint. By the end of the frame the Hawks had coasted to a 57-29 margin and were able to hold the Huskies for the rest of the game for the 75-50 win.

The Hawks have one more exhibition match left at Sheridan's Davis College at noon against the Seneca Sting.
