HAWKS DROP PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY TO MCMASTER

ETOBICOKE, Ontario: The coaching staff for the Humber Hawks men's basketball team continue to tinker with line-ups in exhibition play, looking to find a combination that will run out to a quick start when the 2015/16 season starts.

On Wednesday night, in front of a very good crowd, the Hawks dropped an 89-60 decision to the McMaster Marauders.

The game was very competitive in the first half, with Humber leading after the first quarter, then Mac holding a slim lead at the break.

As mentioned above, the coaching staff inserted a number of line-ups in the second half, but this is where the offence dried up and the defence became porous. The Hawks only score eight points in the third, and saw the visiting Marauders run out to a big lead they would not relinquish.

This was a very good tune-up for the Hawks, as they will continue exhibition play this weekend with a number of games against top CIS competition in North Bay.
