No.6 HAWKS LOOK TO EXTEND WIN STREAK DURING TWO-GAME ROAD TRIP

SUDBURY, ON: The no.6 Humber Hawks (8-3, 2nd West) will be taking their five-game win streak on the road this upcoming weekend when they head to Sudbury for a double-header with the Cambrian Golden Shield (1-8, 9th West).

Before the streak began in late November, the defending national champions were trying to overcome two early season losses and were unable to crack the CCAA's top-15.  Since, the Hawks have knocked off three top-ranked programs, earning themselves the sixth spot as they prepare for what hopefully will be another long postseason run.

Since joining the OCAA West Division in 2013, Cambrian College has had a difficult time putting together a winning season.  In the short history between these two programs, the Hawks are 4-0 and have outscored Cambrian by an average of 42.8 points-per-game.  When Humber hosted Cambrian last season, Matthew Bukovec (Toronto) set his freshman career-high with 16 points.

Offensively, Cambrian is led freshman guard Eric Lavergne-Giroux.  The Sudbury native is averaging 14.8ppg, the only student-athlet scoring in double-digits for the Golden Shield.

After this road trip, the Hawks will have five regular season games remaining, three of which will be played at the Humber Athletic Centre.
