HAWKS DICKSON IN A CLASS OF HIS OWN

HAWKS DICKSON IN A CLASS OF HIS OWN

ETOBICOKE, ON: Tyrone Dickson etched his name in the Humber College record books Sunday afternoon when the fourth-year forward pulled down 12 rebounds in a 91-42 win over Cambrian College.

Dickson's 12th rebound was the 500th of this career, making him the first official Humber Hawk in the 500-point 500-rebound club*.

The 12 boards was the third double-double for Dickson this season, as the Scarborough native helped the CCAA's fifth-ranked program extend their win streak to a league-best seven games.  The reigning West Division Defensive Player of the Year now has 25 career double-doubles, 21 of which have come in the regular season.

Dickson is also seven assists away from becoming the only student-athlete in program history to collect 500 career points, 500 rebounds, 100 blocks, and 100 assists.

Busting on the scene in 2012, Dickson made an immediate impact for the Hawks.  As a rookie, he set a new school record for rebounds in a season (157), while finishing second on the team in scoring.  Two years later, Dickson established a new record with 217 rebounds, a feat that may stand for a very long time.
