HAWKS VS HAWKS TONIGHT IN MEN'S BASKETBALL ACTION
KITCHENER, ON: The Humber Hawks men's basketball team have played a challenging and strenuous pre-season schedule this Fall in preparation for the upcoming OCAA season. Tonight the Hawks will travel to Kitchener to play the University if Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks. The tip is set for 7:00 pm.
The good news for the travel weary squad is that they will have a nine day lay-off from game action. This is a very strategic move by the coaching staff, aimed at giving them an opportunity to evaluate the progress to this point, and for the players to re-energize as the season will be soon upon them.
Laurier had an up and down season last year, finishing third in the tough West Division, with a 7-13 regular season record. Just recently, the Golden Hawks participated in the Concordia Classic, where they dropped all three of their games. They, especially on their home court, will be looking to get back on a positive note and a win over the defending CCAA Champion Humber Hawks would do that.
The Hawks, Humber variety, had a solid trip to Quebec recently, as they won two of three games.
