ANCIL MARTIN NAMED TO THE OCAA WEST DIVISION 2ND TEAM
SCARBOROUGH, ON: Humber Hawks men's basketball fifth-year forward Ancil Martin (Scarborough) was selected as an OCAA West Division Second Team All-Star on Wednesday night at the 2017 OCAA Men's Basketball Awards Banquet.
Martin recorded a career best and team leading mark of 14.3 points per game in the 2016/17 campaign. He hit for more than 20 points on three occasions, with his best outing netting him 24 in a key road win at Redeemer.
He scored 14 points in the crossover playoff win over St. Lawrence a week ago, and will now lead his Hawks into the OCAA Championship tournament this weekend at Centennial. Humber is the defending OCAA champions, winning the title on their home court last year.
