ATHLETIC FORWARD CHAM UJULLU SIGNS WITH HUMBER BASKETBALL

ETOBICOKE, ON: With only one day before the program's first exhibition game, the men's basketball team and interim head coach Patrick Au are continuing to work hard to create another championship roster.   With hopes of defending their provincial title, Coach Au is pleased to announce the signing of his sixth recruit this season, Cham Ujullu.  A native of Gambella, Ethiopia, Ujullu brings with him all the hype of a top prospect.

"Cham is an exceptional young man with a very high ceiling," explained Coach Au.  "He is the type of player that can influence a game on the defensive end with his athleticism. He can defend on the perimeter and utilize his physicality to also defend down low."

Ujullu and his family moved to Canada six years ago and settled in Kitchener, On.  In Kitchener, he attended Eastwood Collegiate Institute, where he immediately became a star on the hardwood.  As a senior, Ujullu was named a WCCSA First-Team All-Star and topped off his performance with team MVP honours. At the all-star game, he participated in the dunk contest, showing off his athleticism for everyone in attendance that night.

"Humber is a great school when it comes to education and athletics," said Ujullu.  "The people at Humber are very welcoming and truly care about helping you succeed."

Ujullu will be enrolled in the Health and Fitness program at Humber, something he is really looking forward to starting.

"As an athlete, health and fitness plays a big role in reaching your goals," added Ujullu.

With the exhibition season starting tomorrow, Ujullu will be tested immediately when NCAA Division I school Charleston Southern comes to Humber. Despite the tough competition, Coach Au believes Ujullu will mesh well with his new teammates.

"He is a great addition to our team and we are really excited to work with Cham and help him reach his potential," added Coach Au.
