No. 7 HAWKS EIGHT GAME WIN STREAK SNAPPED BY No. 3 KNIGHTS

ETOBICOKE, Ont – Tyrone Dickson's team leading seventh double-double wasn't enough for no. 7 Humber Hawks (9-3, 3rd West), which dropped a 75-63 decision to no. 3 Niagara Knights (9-1, 2nd West) on Wednesday night at the Humber Athletic Centre.

Dickson, who finished with a team-high 16 points and 15 rebounds, also recorded a season-high six blocked shots.  Gibson Eduful nearly missed a triple-double in the loss, finishing with nine points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

The Hawks were held to a season-low 32.4 per cent from the floor, including 6-23 from three-point range.

After a close first quarter that saw four lead changes, the Knights took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Hawks 27-19 in the frame.  Niagara point guard Lequan Hylton recorded 11 of his game-high 25 points in the second, leading the Knights to a nine-point lead at half.

The Hawks were able to cut the deficit to two points in the fourth quarter; however that would be as close as they would get, losing the game 75-63.

With the win, the Knights snap a 34-year losing streak at the Humber Athletic Centre.

Tyrone Dickson, Ancil Martin, and Gibson Eduful – all fifth-year seniors – played their final regular season home game at Humber.

The Hawks will look to get back in the win column Saturday afternoon when they head on the road to face the Mohawk Mountaineers (4-7, 6th West).  Tip-off is set for 4pm.
