ALBANIAN RECRUIT SIGNS WITH HUMBER BASKETBALL
ETOBICOKE, ON: Humber College's men's basketball roster continues to grow. Head coach Patrick Au announced the Hawks signed another top recruit with the addition of forward Endri Roshi.
Roshi, a six-foot-eight forward from Tirana, Albania has spent the last few years competing for BC Kamza Basket in the Albanian Basketball League. While playing in the ABL, Roshi helped BC Kamza Basket win two Albanian Basketball Cup championships (2013, 2016) and one Albanian Super Cup championship. With their most recent victory, Roshi was named most valuable player.
Roshi joins Felix Frimpong (Rexdale), Jarod Stefaniuk (Grimsby) and DeQuon Cascart (Toronto) as the fourth recruit announced by Coach Au so far this summer.
"Endri has a great combination of size and skill," commented Coach Au. "His ability to play inside out will be a great asset for us. He is going to be a great addition to our program and we are really looking forward to working with him this upcoming season."
The diverse student body on which Humber College was built is one of the main reasons Roshi chose Humber College.
"It is very important for me to be part of a large and diverse student body that has a sense of community spirit," said Roshi.
At Humber, Roshi will be enrolled in the Police Foundations program, a two-year diploma offered at Lakeshore Campus.
"I chose Police Foundations because I heard good things about the program," added Roshi. "This is a career that I have wanted to pursue for a long time because I love helping people and knowing that at the end of the day I have made a difference."
Roshi and the rest of the Hawks begin their exhibition season on August 9th, when Charleston Southern University (NCAA-DI) comes to the Humber Athletic Centre.
