HAWKS ON COURT IN EAST/WEST CHALLENGE OVER THE BREAK
SCARBOROUGH, ON: The Humber Hawks men's basketball team will take to the hardcourt over the holiday break at Centennial in a unique series of games termed the East/West Holiday Challenge.
For those new to OCAA men's basketball play, the league is set-up with two divisions, with no inter-division play. The only time these teams will get a taste of the type of ball played in the other division normally comes in the playoffs, or during random invitational play.
A few years back, the East/West format was developed to have the teams get a real feel for teams they may come across on their way to OCAA gold. There are no champions crowned and no elimination games, with the only outcome possibly being reflected in the rankings down the road.
