HAWKS DICKSON SNARES A PAIR OF OCAA YEAR-END HONOURS
SCARBOROUGH, ON: Humber Hawks men's basketball veteran Tyrone Dickson was honoured twice this evening at the annual OCAA Men's Basketball Championship banquet at Centennial College.
Tyrone Dickson was selected to the West Division First Team All-Star squad, and then was further recognized as the West Division Top Defensive Player. This is Dickson's second nod in both categories.
Dickson, a fifth year player from Scarborough, led the Humber Hawks to a 12-4 regular season record and a spot in the 2017 OCAA Men's Basketball Championship play-offs.
His offensive statistics spiked this year, as he checked in with a mark 13.4 points per game average, good enough for second best on the Hawks. In only two games this year he failed to reach double figures, and he maxed out with a season best 23 points against Sault College in the first semester.
