No. 9 HAWKS AND CONDORS SET TO BATTLE IN EXHIBITION GAME

ETOBICOKE, Ont -- After a 24-year hiatus, the Humber Hawks and Conestoga Condors men's basketball programs will meet on the hardwood at the Humber Athletic Centre for an exhibition game.

The Condors, under the leadership of head coach Ben Julius, are playing an exhibition season this year in an attempt to revive their basketball program and rejoin the OCAA.

Despite the layoff, these two teams have plenty of OCAA experience.  From 1978 – 1993, these programs faced each other 28 times in regular season play, with Humber winning 25 of those games. All three of Conestoga's wins came at the Humber Athletic Centre.

Currently ranked ninth in the country, the Hawks have a 14-day break from OCAA action.  This exhibition game will see every Hawk receive extended playing time in an attempt to prepare for the postseason.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8pm and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network courtesy of BRTV.
