No.1 HAWKS SET TO HOST SHERIDAN

ETOBICOKE, ON: The CCAA's top ranked program extended their win streak against OCAA opponents to 39 consecutive games after beating the Niagara Knights (1-2, 6th West) in their first road game of the season.  The Hawks (2-0, 5th West) cruised to 75-57 win behind Ceejay Nofuente's (Toronto) second double-double of the season.

Saturday evening the Sheridan Bruins (0-4, 9th West) will be visiting the Humber Athletic Centre, looking to put an end to their four game losing streak.  The Bruins have struggled on offence to begin the year and have lost their four games this season by an average of 22 points.

Over the last four seasons, the Hawks are 7-1 against the Bruins, including a perfect 4-0 at the Humber Athletic Centre.  In their last meeting, the Hawks held the Bruins to a season-low 31 points.  In the 88-31 win, Jill Semple (Etobicoke) finished with a game-high 17 points and 12 rebounds.

The Bruins are led offensively by fourth-year Manitoba native Samantha Lovat.  For the second consecutive year, the five-foot-seven forward is leading her team in scoring.

All Hawks home games are free to the public and also streamed live online.  If you are unable to attend Saturday's game against Sheridan, scroll down to the bottom of the home page and click on the "WATCH NOW" link or click here.
