HAWKS START JOURNEY TO DEFEND NATIONAL TITLE IN PRESEASON VS WINDSOR

WINDSOR, ON: The Humber women's basketball team, and defending national champions, are travelling west to take on the Windsor Lancers in a preseason exhibition game this Saturday, October 1.

The Hawks are the CCAA defending national champions and rightfully so with an outstanding perfect season and 24-0 record. Yearning for a challenge, Humber has lined up a number of exhibition games to prepare for their upcoming season, Windsor being the first.

Part of the CIS, the Lancers have proved to be a tough contestant each year in the OUA western division, finishing in the top seed in the 2015-16 season. Humber will be their first preseason opponent, where they will look to get ready for their OUA season opener, November 11.

The game will be played at St. Dennis Centre at the University of Windsor campus in Windsor, Ontario. Tipoff is at 6:00 p.m.

The Hawks will begin to defend their national championship title when they host the Fanshawe Falcons in their OCAA home opener on October 26.
