AMBER BECHARD: REPORTING FROM BARCELONA, SPAIN
Hola!
The day is finally here! I am extremely excited to be traveling to Barcelona, Spain with my team. I didn't get any sleep last night because I am way too excited for this trip! I will be meeting the team at the airport around 4pm and our plane departure time is set for 7pm. We will be flying throughout the night and arriving in Barcelona early Tuesday morning. My plan is to get as much sleep as possible during the flight, so when we arrive in Barcelona I am ready to start exploring!
My weekend leading up to our trip consisted of lots of packing and last minute shopping in between our basketball training camp and some much needed family time. We had a very busy weekend preparing for our games in Spain as well as for our upcoming season. Stepping back on the court this weekend with my team was a great feeling. The vibe was very positive and everyone is looking forward to exploring Spain together as well as competing and representing our Humber Hawks!
I am extremely grateful to Humber and the Athletics department for giving us such an amazing opportunity to travel together as a team. Having never been to Barcelona before I am beyond excited for this trip and I couldn't be happier that I am experiencing this with my Hawk family!
My suitcase is finally packed and I am now just counting down the hours till take off!!
