WELLAND, ON: After opening the 2016 season with a win at home, the no. 1 Humber Hawks women's basketball (1-0, 5th West) program will now face a tough road test against the Niagara Knights (1-1, 3rd West) on Thursday, November 3rd.

Behind a game-high 24 points from fourth-year guard Aleena Domingo (Toronto), the Hawks defeated Fanshawe 63-56 in their home opener and extended their win-streak to 35 consecutive games against OCAA opponents.

The Knights will be playing their first game at home this season, after opening the year with a win at Sheridan (0-2, 9th West) and a loss at Mohawk (1-0, 7th West).  Niagara's biggest weapon is two-time OCAA All-Star Courtney McPherson.  The five-foot-ten forward from Welland is averaging 11.5 points and 13.5 rebounds in two games this season.
