AMBER BECHARD: REPORTING FROM BARCELONA, SPAIN

Hola!

Today was another great day.  The weather every day so far has been perfect, at an average of 30 degrees. The sun is always shining here!

We started things off early today with practice. We prepared ourselves for our upcoming games. Our first game is tomorrow against Sant Adria at 11am (our time here in Spain). Practice was intense and everyone came focused and ready to work.

After practice we had the rest of the day off. The majority of us spent our time soaking up the sun and swimming. Some of us spent the afternoon shopping and exploring the streets of Barcelona. The plans for tonight are to head to the beach to find a restaurant for dinner and check out the live entertainment.

I was able to do some sightseeing this evening as I walked through the Gothic Quarter which is a older neighbourhood in Barcelona.  The architecture was much different than Gaudi's style from yesterday's tour, but equally as beautiful. There were some more breathtaking churches on my walk and at some points I though I would get lost as the cobblestone roads wound their way through the city!
