AMBER BECHARD: REPORTING FROM BARCELONA, SPAIN
Hola!
It's 11:23am and we have finally arrived at our hotel in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain!
Despite a slight boarding pass mishap our Head Coach (and Coach of the Year) Ajay Sharma was graciously upgraded to first class while some of us (me) had the luxury of sitting directly beside the potent aroma of airplane bathroom and negative reclining power of the last row seating. Safe to say it was the worst plane ride of my life, but hey, I made it.
After a long 8 hour flight and only minimal baggage delays, the ladies of the Humber women's basketball team will dive into the cultural wonders that Spain has to offer.
It is absolutely amazing here! The bus ride to our hotel was buzzing with excitement and surrounded with beautiful scenery. The view was truly spectacular! We had some time to kill before checking into our hotel, so the team walked around town to get to know what our home will be like for the next 10 days.
I am rooming with seniors Ceejay Nofuente and Jill Semple and we are currently trying to navigate this foreign hotel bathroom.
As for the rest of the day, maybe a dip in the ocean or a walk on the beach is in order but until then,
