HAWKS RIDE FINE PITCHING PERFORMANCE TO WIN AT SENECA

AURORA, ON: The Humber Hawks rode the arm of starter Jeff Gibbs to a 4-2 win over the Seneca Sting on Tuesday night.

Gibbs, in his first start of the season, held off the Sting attack all night long. Lefty Lee Masbaugh came in support of Gibbs effort and was credited with the save.

Key hits at key times during the game helped the Hawks grab the lead and tack on the rest of the way. The biggest knock of the night came from second year infielder Keegan Murphy, as he blasted a two run homer. Len Wood had the other big hit on the night, with his triple plating Daniel Campos. Campos then added an rbi of his own.

There is no rest for the Hawks, as they will host the George Brown Huskies on Wednesday night at the friendly confines and home of the Hawks, Connorvale Park.
