HAWKS BASEBALL ENTERTAIN SENECA AT HOME ON SUNDAY

ETOBICOKE, Ontario: The Humber Hawks men's baseball team, back on the diamond just over a day after opening their season on the road at George Brown on Friday night, will take to their home field of Connorvale Park on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors for doubleheader action will be the crosstown rival Seneca Sting. The first game will start at 1:00 pm, and the second will begin twenty minutes after the conclusion of game one.

The opening weekend of the season looks to favour the Hawks, as both the Sting and the George Brown squads failed to qualify for post season action last season. Humber, not only returns a solid squad of veteran starting position players, they have made a significant step forward in the pitching and catching positions. In fact, this is as deep a rotation the Hawks have ever produced.

Seneca made solid strides in their second season of play, increasing their win total from year one. They had a couple of quality arms, but were unable to provide the defence and offence needed to compete game in, and game out.

Highlights for the home opener are a disc jockey, providing in game music and the ceremonial national anthem. The Humber Student Athletic Association (SAA) will be on site to sign people up for Hawk Nation, and by doing so, will be giving away all kinds of Hawk swag every game. And, of course, there will be bags of peanuts tossed into the crowd throughout the game.

Of note this season will be the "live" streaming of home games, including the men's baseball home opener.
