HAWKS TO COMPLETE SECOND OF BACK TO BACK DOUBLEHEADERS

ETOBICOKE, Ontario: The Humber Hawks will take to their home field of Connorvale Park on Sunday afternoon against London's Fanshawe College, a game that has significant play-off implications. The first pitch is slated for 1:00 pm, with game two following immediately after.

After these two games are done, the Hawks would have played four games in a twenty-four hour span. They have two with league leading St. Clair on Saturday.

The two teams met earlier, a double dip that resulted in a split. Humber was in a position to sweep but gave up a two run lead in the seventh and final inning. Without knowing the outcome of Saturday's games, Fanshawe checks in with a mark of 4-3 and Humber 6-3.

Pitching depth will certainly come into play, as the Falcons will play two with Durham on Saturday. With Durham, Humber and Fanshawe battling for play-off spots, the coaches will be challenged on how they will designate pitching assignments.

Both teams place multiple batters in the top twenty of the league leaders, and the two teams both boast complete pitching staffs.

These games look to be tight, but a sweep by one or the other could make the difference between having, or not having a home game in the play-offs.
