HAWKS LOOK TO HALT LOSING SKID WITH MATCH-UP AT SENECA

NORTH YORK, Ontario: The Humber Hawks men's baseball team, just off a road trip that saw them drop three of four games to even their season record at 3-3, will hit the road once again on Wednesday night as they will play the cross-town Seneca Sting.

The game, which will take place at Bishop's Cross Park, is slated for a 7:00 pm first pitch.

Seneca, as with Humber, have suffered some issues with weather. In fact, the two teams have scheduled a make-up date for a doubleheader that was washed away on the opening weekend. On Tuesday night, Seneca completed two games that were halted due to time and weather.

Seneca comes into the game with a record of one win and three losses, their only win an 11-6 one over Durham on Tuesday. As mentioned above, Humber sits with a mark of 3-3, with their losses all coming by a single run.

With only a single game of personal statistics available for the hometown Sting, it is difficult to pinpoint any key players, but Kurt Roy and Bryan Boudreau had perfect days against George Brown.

The Hawks boast a number of players with strong averages at the plate, with five players sporting marks of over .300. They are led by former Canadian Junior National star Sean Mattson, and his .667 average, based on eight hits on twelve at bats. Brendon Lyons is next on the team in hits (7) and average (.389).
