HAWKS SWEEP DURHAM TO SOLIDIFY HOLD ON SECOND

OSHAWA, Ontario: The Humber Hawks men's baseball team took two very different routes on their way to a sweep over the Durham Lords on Sunday afternoon.

In Game one it took a tremendous comeback by the Hawks to steal a win. The Humber squad was down 6-0 early,  and 7-3 as late as the fifth inning. After the dust settled in the sixth, Kenneth Hahnfield had a three run double and the Hawks led 9-7. This score would not change the rest of the way.

The second game, a 9-3 win, saw the Hawks race out to the lead and never look back. They scored in the first, and led 4-0 after three. By the end of the fourth it was 7-1, and then by the end of five the score would not change the rest of the way,  holding at 9-3.

The Hawks have a single game on Wednesday at Seneca, and then have ten consecutive home games to finish the regular season.
