HAWKS THREESOME NAMED OCAA WEST DIVISION ALL STARS

NORTH BAY, ON: Three Humber Hawks women's volleyball players were named to the OCAA West Division All Star team on Wednesday night at the 2016 OCAA Women's Volleyball Championship banquet.

Outside Thalia Hanniman and middle Alexandra Newman were selected to the 1st Team, while setter Brittany Vanderlaan was named to the 2nd Team. 

Humber won the West Division title, and finished with a league best record of 18-0.

All three players will be participating in the 2016 OCAA Women's Volleyball Championship this coming week at Canadore College in North Bay. 

THALIA HANNIMAN                       #14                         Outside Hitter                  5th Year
Thalia continues to be the most explosive outside hitter in the entire OCAA, and has led the Hawks in scoring over the past two seasons.

Brittany set the Humber all-time record for assists this year, and finished first in assists per set in the entire OCAA with her mark of 7.98.
