THALIA HANNIMAN NAMED OCAA FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

THALIA HANNIMAN NAMED OCAA FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

For a record sixth consecutive year Humber has produced the OCAA Female Athlete of the Year. Thalia Hanniman, a fourth year outside hitter, has been named Ontario's best after a historic season that saw her win a fourth straight OCAA Title while dominating the province from seasons start to finish.

During her time as a Hawk, Hanniman has gone a perfect 84-0 in the province while establishing herself among the countries elite. During an incredible 2014-15 season Hanniman received OCAA Player of the Year honours, 1st Team All-Star status, was named OCAA Championship MVP and took the Scoring Title. She led the province in both points per set (4.4) and kills per set (3.55), was second in points (244) and eighth in service aces with 38.

On the National Stage Hanniman was equally decorated. She took home CCAA All-Canadian status and was a 1st Team All-Star at the CCAA Championship. On top of her work on the court, Hanniman excelled in the classroom; she was named both an OCAA Academic All-Star and CCAA Academic All-Canadian.

Hanniman has firmly entrenched herself among the greatest Hawks in the storied Women's Volleyball Program's history. Her list of accomplishments this season is among the most extensive in the sports history, and this award encapsulates just how great she has been.
