The Humber Hawks women's volleyball team hit the road on January 30 and headed to Sudbury to take their 101st consecutive victory against the Boreal Viperes.

Boreal is 0-14 in the 2015/2016 season, and the Hawks are 13-0.

The main goal for the Hawks entering this match was to provide opportunity to get their bench minutes while maintaining a strong level of focus throughout the match.

"I was focusing on using the opportunity,  because this is the kind of game that can give me a chance to work on things and improve…gain experience and confidence," said second-year middle for the Hawks, Alex Hawrylak.

The Hawks had a slow start with tired legs from the four hour bus ride, but managed to take the first set 25-17.

Coming back out in the second set more focused, the Hawks got increasingly better as the match went on.

Head coach Chris Wilkins decided to try some new lineups that the Hawks may need to utilize down the road, including having both setters in at once.

Humber won the second set 25-15 and the third set 25-13.

Tomorrow the Hawks will take on Cambrian Golden Shield at Cambrian.

Cambrian is 8-6 so far in the season and the Hawks will need to serve tough and play stellar defense to be successful.
