No. 2 HAWKS WELCOME SHERIDAN FOR SENIORS NIGHT

ETOBICOKE, ON: The no. 2 Humber Hawks women's basketball (15-0, 1st West) program extended their win streak against OCAA opponents to 32 consecutive games after defeating the Redeemer Royals (5-10, 7th West) in a weekend road game in Ancaster.  In the win, CCAA All-Canadian candidate Ceejay Nofuente (Toronto) narrowly missed her second quadruple-double of the season, finishing with 16 points, 11 assists, nine rebounds, and eight steals.

Thursday night the Sheridan Bruins (2-14, 9th West) will be visiting the Humber Athletic Centre, looking to put an end to their 12-game losing streak.  The Bruins have struggled on offence this season, having failed to score at least 40 points in a game seven times this year.

The Hawks high-octane offence is now only 99 points away from breaking the OCAA record that they had previously set in 1998-99.  Averaging 80.8ppg, the Hawks have two games left to set the new league-high.  Second-year guard Sasha Bertusa (Burlington) is only six three-point field goals made away from tying the school record of 36 set by Elaine Morrison in 2001.
