HAWKS PREPARE TO END FIRST HALF OF SEASON PERFECT

HAWKS PREPARE TO END FIRST HALF OF SEASON PERFECT

Thursday's showdown between Humber and Redeemer is setting up to be a high scoring affair, as the province's highest scoring teams will go at it for the first time during the 2015-16 OCAA season.  The Hawks have the highest scoring offence in the league, averaging 77.9 points-per-game, while the Royals are a close second with an average of 76.5.

Two of the province's best scorer's will be featured in this game as Humber's Llyandra Kerr is currently ranked 13th in the OCAA averaging 14.8 points-per-game, while Redeemer's Jesseca Brown ranks fourth averaging 17.8.

Redeemer is coming off back-to-back losses at home and will be looking to end Humber's win streak of 21 consecutive regular season wins.  Last time out, the Royals were held to a season low 45 points by a stingy Mohawk defence.  Jessica Bosma finished with a season-high 17 points for the Royals in the loss.

Over the years, Humber basketball has been quite dominant against Redeemer.  Over their last eight meetings, the Hawks are a perfect 8-0 and have won by an average margin of 31.5 points-per-game.  In their last meeting at the Humber Athletic Centre, the Hawks came away with a 83-54 victory and were led offensively by CCAA second team all-star Aleena Domingo and her game-high 19 points.  Jesseca Brown finished with a team-high 15 points in the loss.
