HAWKS ON ROAD TO OPEN DEFENCE OF THEIR OCAA CROWN

By: Natalie Stoberman

SARNIA, ON: The Hawks start their regular season with a trip to take on the Lambton Lions in a double-header weekend.

Humber has shown strong performances throughout the preseason especially when they swept three CIS teams at an exhibition series at Nipissing University. Since winning the OCAA Title last season, Humber has added more scoring power which showed itself during that series when the Hawks beat each team by a margin of 10 points to as many as 37 points.

The Lions have always given the Hawks good competition over the years. But last season the Hawks had their number with two confident wins on the way to posting a steep 72.6 points per game from a combined leadership of some of the league's top players in guard Ceejay Nofuente and forwards Aleena Domingo and Mary Asare, who return to their line up this year.
