HAWKS BACK ON HOME COURT AFTER SUCCESSFUL TOUR
ETOBICOKE, ON: The Hawks continue their preseason action with a Wednesday evening game against OCAA opponent the George Brown Huskies. Tip-off is set for 6 pm, at the North Campus Athletic Centre.
Humber just completed a successful exhibition series at Nipissing University this past weekend where they swept the Algoma Thunderbirds, Bishop Gaiters and Nipissing Lakers with margins of 10 points and above.
The reigning OCAA Provincial Champions didn't get the chance to play George Brown last season in any crossover games but are 9-0 at home against Canadian competition going back to last regular season.
The Huskies are onto a new chapter with recently appointed Head Coach Fatih Akser to improve upon last season's 2-14 record.
The Hawks have nine returning players from last season's championship team and will have another road trip to Quebec this upcoming weekend to gear up for their season opener at Lambton College on Oct. 24.
