HAWKS CLINCH WEST DIVISION TITLE WITH 81-59 ROAD WIN

ANCASTER, ON: The Humber Hawks continued their winning ways as they ran their record to 16-0 by defeating the Redeemer Royals by a score of 81-59.

With the win, the Hawks have clinched the OCAA West Division title and direct entrance to the OCAA Championships at Niagara College.

Humber ran out to a 21-15 lead in the first quarter and then extended the lead to 19 points at the half, 44-25. They tacked on in the third, outscoring the host Royals by 5 points. The fourth was tight, but it was Redeemer who got a bit of redemption, winning the frame 20-18.

Ceejay Nofuente, one of the top players in the country, came within two steals and a single rebound of recording an incredible quadruple double. She finished with 16 points, 11 assists, 9 rebounds and 8 steals.

Three other Hawks hit for double figures on the night. Atissa Cronk was just behind Nofuente, with 15. Llyandra Kerr and Jillian Semple kicked in 12 and 10, respectively.
