HAWKS BREANNA GOLDING NAMED 2018 CCAA ALL-CANADIAN

TORONTO, ON: The Humber Hawks have experienced incredible success over the last number of years, but significant individual honours have eluded them lately. This came to an end after a four-year hiatus on Thursday morning at the 2018 OCAA Women's Volleyball Championship Awards Banquet, as second-year standout Breanna Golding was selected as the an OCAA West Division First Team All-Star, and CCAA All-Canadian.

She was also recognized for winning the West Division scoring title with her 4.4 points per set average, finishing second in the entire league.

This is her second West Division First Team All-Star nod, as she was also pegged as the OCAA Overall Rookie of the Year in the 2016/17 season.

Golding, who is quickly rising up a number of Humber all-time single-season and career statistic lists, registered her best season by scoring at a rate of 4.4 points per set. Her career mark now sits at 4.2 points per set, which places her in a tie for third place with Humber legends Kelly Nyhof and Cindy Ross on the Hawks all-time points per set list.

"Breanna is a special talent", said Hawks head coach Chris Wilkins. "The coaches in the league recognize this, and her selection as an All-Canadian is truly well deserved".

She has helped the Hawks to a 36-0 regular season record and a 3-0 mark in the playoffs, which included an OCAA title last year.
