HAWKS DROP HOST BRUINS IN 3 STRAIGHT SETS TO STAY PERFECT

OAKVILLE, ON: The Humber Hawks women's volleyball team ran their regular season record to 6-0 by way of a straight three set win (25-16, 27-25, 25-18) road win over the Sheridan Bruins on Saturday afternoon in Oakville. With the loss, the Bruins drop to 2-3 on the season. This is Sheridan's third straight loss, after a solid 2-0 start.

The Hawks soared early, controlling the set from front to back, extending their lead throughout the set.

The second set saw the Bruins command the play and the scoreboard for most of the set, including holding a 21-16 lead late. It was at this point that the Hawks serving became more than the Bruins could handle. A huge 11-4 run led to Humber to the set win.

The third and final set was eerily similar to the opener, as the Hawks led from the start and did not let the host squad get close enough to steal the set.

Humber will return to the court this coming Wednesday, as they host the Niagara Knights at the Humber Athletic Centre with a first serve set for 6:00 pm.
