HAWKS CLINCH DIVISION CROWN WITH 3-0 WIN OVER BOREAL

SUDBURY, ON: The Hawks take another 3 set game to continue their winning streak against the Boreal Vipers. The Finale scores were 25-6, 25-20, 25-10.

Julia Watson was a key player throughout the whole match. She was able to take the team on serving runs but also put the ball down in multiple areas of the court to rack up her kills. This was key for taking the first match by such a big lead. In the second, the Hawks seemed to have trouble finding the enthusiasm and energy they needed to play their style.

Assistant coach Dean gave a comment about the second set, "At times we played very well and others we struggled to play at our level of game.". Once Humber found the grove they needed they closed out the set and resettled for the third which ended up very similar to the first.

This game was key to allow many players to get more minutes before heading off to provincials on February 21st. Danielle Miles kept the Vipers moving with giving some hard driven balls down the line but also throwing in a couple tips to keep them on their toes. Celine Blanchette got to add to her assists with running the whole court and Brynne Coleman was able to show her leadership with having the baby hawks take the court with her.

Humber continues their weekend tomorrow with a game against Cambrian who is ranked 7th in the west and then finishes off their last game against Fanshawe.
