HAWKS ROLL TO EASY THREE-SET WIN ON ROAD AT CONESTOGA

HAWKS ROLL TO EASY THREE-SET WIN ON ROAD AT CONESTOGA

KITCHENER, ON: It did not take the Humber Hawks women's volleyball team (12-0, 1st West) to take out the home Conestoga Condors (1-11, 10th West) in three straight sets (25-13, 25-16, 25-6). In fact, it was only about a forty-five minute affair.

This match was unlike the first meeting of the two teams. Humber did win in three, but it was the Condors that seemed to get stronger as the match went on at the Humber Athletic Centre.

Individually, Bryne Spence-Coleman led the Hawks for the second consecutive game, scoring 12 offensive points (7K, 4A, 1B). Danielle Miles also struck for double digits with 10 points, all via the kill. Humber leading scorer played a single set, but still saw her points per set average rise by way of her five points in the game.

The Hawks will be back on the floor this coming Friday at home, as they will entertain the Mohawk Mountaineers. It was Mohawk who almost ended the Hawks long win streak, but Humber rallied from two sets down to win the match in Hamilton. The first serve is set for 6:00 pm.
