HAWKS AND BRUINS BATTLE FOR TOP SPOT IN OAKVILLE

OAKVILLE, ON: The Humber Hawks are a win or tie away from securing the top spot in the Central Division, but that point will be challenged by the second place Sheridan Bruins on Saturday afternoon, in a match played on the Bruins home field in Oakville.

Sheridan sits six points behind the leaders, with both teams having two games remaining on their regular season schedule. They would need two wins and two Hawk losses, and a better than two goal win over the Humber squad to snare first.

The two teams met earlier this year, which resulted in a tight 1-0 win for the Hawks. This game was played at Centennial Park in Etobicoke, the same venue that will serve as the pitch for the 2015 OCAA Championships.

Sheridan is second in goals scored in the division, and tied in the lead with the Hawks by allowing only five goals against. Jonathan Jabbison leads the way offensively, with his five markers.

Humber leads the entire league by a large margin, popping in thirty four goals in just eight games. Thirteen different players have shared in the scoring. Daniele Clemente and Jaineil lead the way, with five each.

Kick off, from Sheridan's Oakville Campus, is 2:00 pm.
