HAWKS LOOK TO BUILD ON PERFECT SEASON ON SATURDAY
ETOBICOKE, Ontario: The Humber Hawks men's soccer team, who have risen up to the number two spot in the CCAA National rankings, will put their undefeated record on the line this Saturday against George Brown. Kick-off is set for 3:00, from Centennial Park Stadium. Interestingly enough, both Humber and the host Huskies call Centennial home.
The Huskies come into the game with what looks like a must win, if they want to get into serious contention for a play-off spot. At 1-3-1, they are tied with three teams, all looking to move on to the post-season. Humber has been perfect, at 5-0.
The Huskies have had trouble scoring, but conversely have only given up a tad over a goal a game. Scoring early for them would put them in a position to ride a win home.
Humber has been both offensively and defensively sound, scoring 15 for and surrendering only 3. The key to the Hawks games has been their ability to score early and tack on after that. Should this happen again, it could be a short day for the home Huskies squad.
