THE STORYLINE
The Humber Hawks (10-8), by way of their fourth place finish in the West Division, have earned the right to host a sudden death playoff crossover game on Saturday night at the Humber Athletic Centre. The winner between the Hawks and the East Divisions La Cité will advance to the OCAA Championships next week in Hamilton.

These two teams have not faced each other in OCAA league or play-off competition.
SCOUTING LA CITÉ
- The Coyotes enter the playoffs on a bit of a high, as they are winners of three of their last four games, including a 3-2 thriller over Fleming. That win was key in helping their team secure the fifth spot in the division, dropping Fleming to sixth
- They have played much better at home, as they have a mark of six wins and three losses. On the road it is reversed, with only three wins and six losses.
- This is the first time in five years that the Coyotes have advanced to the playoffs. In the 2011-12 season, they lost the playoff crossover 3-0 to Mohawk
- As a team, they rank first in assists (700) and second in kills (778) in the league.
- Outside hitter Michel Leblanc has produced an exceptional year, as he checks in second place in the league's leading scoring standings. His mark of 4.6 points-per-set has come via 275 kills, 20 aces and 21 blocks.
- Leblanc is supported by a trio of players, led by Jeremie Murray and his mark of 3.3 pps
- Nicolas Labre has distributed the ball as well or better than anyone in the league, and his statistics prove that. He is first in assists (665), and third is assists-per-set (9.64)

- Humber has been streaky this season, winning a bunch and then dropping just about as many. The second semester mirrored the first one until the Hawks scored an emotional five-set win at Conestoga to clinch a playoff spot and a home game.
- The Hawks had identical 5-4 road and home records.
- Clayton Blanchette led the OCAA in scoring with 379 points, an average of 5.7 pps.
- Alex Gibbs had his best year as a Hawk, as he checks in with a mark of 3.6 pps.
- Veteran Adam Kinoshita has been the key in the offensive success of both Blanchette and Gibbs. He recorded a total of 543 assists (a program record), with an average of 8.76 aps.

Humber has posted its tenth consecutive winning season, with an overall record of 128-42 (.753) since the start of the 2007-08 season.
