HAWKS START SECOND HALF WITH HUGE ROAD WIN OVER BRUINS

OAKVILLE, ON: The Humber Hawks (6-4, 3rd West) men's volleyball team not only broke their four game losing streak, but moved a step closer to a season ending playoff spot by way of a 3-1 (25-14, 23-25, 25-23, 25-21) win over the Sheridan Bruins (5-6, 6th West).

With the win, the Hawks have swept the season series with Sheridan, and hold the tiebreaker over the Bruins should the be tied at season's end.

Clayton Blanchette was the story for the Hawks once again, as he built on his league leading offensive stats on the day by way of a 31 point performance (28 kills, 3 aces). With this effort he raises his mark to 5.97 pps, and now is over a point ahead of his nearest competitor.

Alex Gibbs was the only other Hawk to reach double figures, with 10 points (8 kills, 1 ace, 1 block). Veteran Setter Adam Kinoshita was outstanding, as he checked in with 40 assists.

The Hawks will return to the floor this coming weekend, with games on Saturday evening (Boreal) and Sunday afternoon (Cambrian)
