HAWK NOTES

  • Humber is coming off a solid performance at a tournament in Quebec, where they played to a 2-2 record, but unable to advance to the play-off round.
  • After an amazing 5-0 start to the season, Humber is currently floundering with a four game losing streak. They are still in a play-off position, but there are five teams within a game of each other that are battling for the last two play-off positions
  • Although they rank in the middle of most team stats, their success from the service line has been key – 53 aces (5th), 1.61 aces per set (4th)
  • Second year sensation Clayton Blanchette has been outstanding, and he continues to lead the league in offence, averaging 5.6 points per set. Alex Gibbs has been a more than capable option, as he checks in at 3.6 pps

SCOUTING SHERIDAN

  • The Bruins have had a ping pong type of season so far. Win two, lose two, win one, lose two, win one, lose one.
  • They are one of three teams with 4-5 records, and battling for their play-off lives in each game this semester
  • Sheridan has outstanding setting, and their total assists (353) put them second in the league. They also show a flare for defence, standing second in league rankings in digs per set
  • Christian Dela cruz leads the offence for the Bruins, checking in with a mark of 3.8 pps. He is supported by a trio of teammates who are scoring at a 2.0 pps pace or better.

HAWKS HISTORY WATCH

  • With every victory, Head Coach Wayne Wilkins (308-109/.739%) continues to rise in the Humber coaching rankings and sits just 10 wins away from being the Hawks all-time wins leader. Legendary basketball coach Mike Katz has a record of 318-76/.807%
  • At his current pace, Blanchette could finish the season with the fourth best single season mark in Hawks history. Terrel Bramwell owns the top three spots

Sheridan will not be providing a live stream for this game
