JULIAN MULLEN - MALE FRESHMAN ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
ETOBICOKE, ON: After many years of success, the Hawks men's soccer team have to continuously restock their roster with quality players at key positions.
Julian Mullen came in and was both solid and many times spectacular in all aspects of the game. From his left back position, he always controlled the game on that entire side of the field. He was able to defend, but more importantly, he could move the ball quickly up the pitch to create scoring opportunities.
He was honoured for his exploits on two significant occasions. First, he was the Humber Player of the Game in the OCAA gold medal game, a 4-0 shut-out of Algonquin. He then received the ultimate honour by being chosen to the 2016 CCAA championship all-star team after leading his team the national title.
