HAWKS WIN FRIENDLY AGAINST NCAA LAWRENCE VIKINGS

SCARBOROUGH, ON: Another game and another victory for the Humber Hawks men's soccer team as they faced Lawrence University Vikings of the NCAA in a friendly match Friday afternoon.

Kicking off at 1:00 p.m., the Hawks started the game with high intensity and high pressure, resulting in a few good scoring opportunities with no result. The first goal from the Hawks came from a corner kick into the box, allowing returning forward, Luca Baldassare (Woodbridge), to head it into the back of the net.

Controlling most of the game, Humber only allowed in one goal and finished the game with a 3-1 victory over the Division III NCAA Vikings.

Next up for the Hawks, training camp in Blue Mountain to get ready to defend their national title in the upcoming season starting September 13 against the George Brown Huskies.
