HAWKS AND HUSKIES TO BATTLE FOR NATIONAL TITLE

FORT McMURRAY, AB: The No. 1 Hawks will look to defend their title and remain the nation's champions as they fight for gold against the No. 3 Keyano Huskies tomorrow evening at 4:30 p.m. MST (6:30 p.m. EST).

For the fourth time in five years, Humber will play for gold in the CCAA Men's Soccer National Championship final. The Hawks qualified for the final in an outstanding 8-0 victory over the Algonquin Thunder, a record-breaking score.

A team of superb accomplishments, this years' squad has the opportunity to make CCAA and Humber history. Another national title would tie the Hawks with Capilano University at six for most CCAA titles. As for Humber history, it would be the first time the men's soccer program was able to finish the season with a perfect 16-0 season record.

The Hawks' last loss in CCAA action was in 2011 where they finished fifth overall. Individually, Head Coach Michael Aquino, and players Marcos Nunes (Brampton), Gerardo Magno (Brampton), Kingsley Boasiako (Brampton), and Eugenio Garro (Woodbridge), along with most of the team, have never lost in CCAA play.

As for the host team and No. 3 Keyano Huskies, this will mark their first time in a CCAA final since joining the league. Finishing their regular season with an overall record of 11-1 (1st place, ACAC North Division) and winners of the Alberta provincial title, the Huskies will be tough competition. With the home field advantage Keyano is looking to create history of their own. Winning gold would be a first for the men's soccer program in the colleges' history.

The teams will kick off the 2016 Men's National Championship gold medal game at 4:30 p.m. MST, 6:30 p.m. EST at the SMS Stadium at Shell Stadium in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
