HAWKS SWEEP EAGLES 9-0

ETOBICOKE, ON: The Hawks men's soccer (5-0-0, 1st OCAA Central Division) remains the most dominant team in the country after a 9-0 win over the UTM Eagles (0-0-5, 6th OCAA Central Division) Tuesday evening.

Opening up the scoring for the Hawks was 2015 All-Canadian, Jaineil Hoilett (Brampton), who has managed to find the back of the net for the last three games. Shortly after, Patrick Majcher (Missiauga) carried the ball at his feet around the Eagles defense and keeper for goal number two.

Again, Majcher carried the ball to the Eagles end and with a quick pass back and a sliding effort, Marcos Nunes (Toronto) scored the third goal for the Hawks.

Keeping poise and possession, Humber kept attacking and just before half, Andrew Giao (Toronto) tried a shot from 35 yards out that soared over the keeper and into the Eagles net.

Heading into the second half 4-0, the Hawks continued to apply pressure and press. Returning forward, Luca Baldassarre (Woodbridge), remains a dominant force and scored three goals, the team's first hat trick of the season. The two other goal scorers in the second half were Nunes, and defender, Jerome Smith (Bolton).

Humber managed to keep most possession throughout the 90 minutes of play and with that a 9-0 win.

Next the Hawks will head to Welland, Ontario on Saturday afternoon where they take on the Niagara Knights for the second time this season.
