HAWKS AND THUNDER CLASH FOR RIGHT TO PLAY FOR CCAA GOLD

FORT MCMURRAY, AB: Familiar foes will take to the pitch on Thursday afternoon, with the winner advancing directly to the CCAA Men's Soccer National Championship game on Saturday. The Humber Hawks and Algonquin Thunder played for OCAA provincial gold two weeks ago in Ancaster, with the Hawks winning by a score of 4-0.

Humber, the number one seed in the national event, advanced through quarter final play with a 3-0 win over the eighth seeded SAIT Trojans (AB). Algonquin entered as the number five seed, and produced a second half comeback 2-1 win over the fourth seeded Sainte Foy Dynamiques.

The Hawks and Thunder have combine for 17 CCAA medals, which includes Humber's gold and Algonquin's bronze last year.
