The Humber mens volleyball team took another win against the Cambrian Golden Shield at Cambrian on January 31, 2016.

The Cambrian Golden Shield is currently last place in the West Division as they are 0-14 in the 2015-2016 season, and coming off last night's victory against Boreal, Humber is 8-5.

With starting left side Clayton Blanchette out on injury and starting middle Stefan Vukmanovic absent for the weekend, Humber had to try different lineups to get the job done.

The first set was a slow start for both teams, neither team being very in-system for consecutive points. The rallies were short and no team could establish momentum as both teams were making a number of errors.

Humber came back in the second set with more intensity, however the unpredictable plays coming back from Cambrian proved difficult for the Hawks to be prepared for. Out of system plays continued throughout the second set and Humber pulled through at the end with a tough serve by Michael Majcen on game point.

The final score of the second set was the score of the first two sets was 25-22 for Humber.

During the third set things were flowing much more smoothly and a call against the Hawks at 0-3 gave them some motivation.

The Hawks were up through the middle of the set and pulled away from Cambrian.

A big dig in the back court by Simon at 23-16 for Humber gave the Hawks the extra push to close out the match.

The final score for Humber was 25-16.
